Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

We have problem with TAG reader TIRIS S251B and that is that reader constantly showing impedance too high and the reading of TAG isn't reliable because sometimes reading is OK and sometimes not.

We already tried adding additional capacities to antenna terminals, but we cannot get to the green area.

My question is, when the auto-tuning is performed, is it automatically, or do we need to trigger it somehow?

We have at least 15 of the same readers and we are using them in the same way, but only on one with this kind of problem. Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this?

I don't know this device. It is just too old. I also can not find any documentation anymore, other than in the existing E2E posts like this:

Have you tried to replace the antenna with a known working antenna, to rule that out?

If you already tried another antenna and it still behaves the same, then probably the reader is just not working anymore (no surprise at this age).

Unfortunately I don't have any schematics.

Hello Andreas,

We needed to wait for it to be able to change the antenna with the new one but it still not working reliably.

I want to get some information regarding auto-tunning the antenna because I either couldn’t find any information regarding that.

Do we have any references we could share with the customer?
