We have just assembled 15 PCBs with a CC2590, for a project that was designed a few years ago, and always worked flawlessly.
Now the 15 boards show a very stange behavior, compared to an older board that is working correctly:
1. Power consumption if 20 to 50 mA above the normal power consumption. we have confirmed this power is consumed by the CC2590
2. RF performance are quite poor, compared to an older board that is working correctly, and whether we enable or disable the PA/LNA, the RF range and performance is unchanged.
3. And the most important point: If we exchange the presumably faulty CC2590 with another new one from another lot, everything gets back to normal (normal power consumtion, and perfect RF range) This have been confirmed on 100% of the "faulty" boards.
How can you help us to further investigate this ?
