Hi,

I'm comparing different 6LoWPAN solutions in both 2.4GHz and sub1GHz bands.

The idea is to compare the 802.15.4 physical and Mac layers first (link distance, capacity, etc)

I already made some tests with the cc2530 and cc2538 modules at 2.4GHz, but now I'm Using the CC1200 (TrxEB) and the CC1101 (SmartRF04EB), and I'm trying to validate the technology and compare with 2.4GHz.

The PERtest preprogrammed in the device is already using 802.15.4? If not, Can I test the 802.15.4 sub1GHz with another PERtest and the same device?

Are there any libraries and examples using 802.15.4 for sub1GHz applications for those boards? Like TiMAC for 2.4GHz.

Hi,

I have tried Contiki on the TrxEB+CC1120 as you kindly recommended me.

I have already downloaded the contiki linux virtual machine, I also downloaded the thingsquare-mist-1.1.0, and I have built an example and generated the .hex file.

I understand that I need to flash it with the "SmartRF Flash Programmer", in any case, when I try to upload the .hex file, I continuously have a problem: It seems that the Flash Programmer could not open this file, as it can be seen on the attached image.

Am I doing something wrong?

Note: I have also tried a generic .hex file (not only the one that I have generated) and the problem remains.

Hi,

Under "What do you want to program?" drop down menu, chose "Program CCxxxx..." option, then proceed with programming your device with hex file

Thanks for your prompt response,

I have already tried this many times, but it does not appear the node on the list, as it is on the image that I paste on the last message: “8738 CC1120 TrxEB 0520 0043”. So, when I tried, it appeared a similar error saying “No device selected”.

I dont know if I should use the MSP-FET430UIF JTAG. Currently I'm connecting the device via USB cable, with the switches set as: S2=”Enable” and S1=”USB mode SmartRF”.

Should I manage a different configuration?

And here you have a photo of the plugged device:

As you can see, Im connecting it via USB cable, but when I try with the JTag it doesnt work either.

When you trying to program it with JTAG the source selection jumpers should in that case short circuit pin 7-8 of header P17 (Figure 12). Note that the MSP-FET will not power the EB if pin 9-10 of header P17 (“LCL”) is short circuited.

Yes I know, at this moment I'm trying to program it via USB, it should be done only via MSP-FET?

Anyway, I have tried many times with MSP-FET and I have the same problem.
