Hi,
we are currently using the TRF7970A + a M0+ controller as RFID Reader for ISO15693 Tags.
would it be possible to realize a MIFARE DESFIRE EV1, EV2 and EV3 reader with the TRF7970A?
Thanks a lot
chris

Hello Christoph,
I am not a specialist for the Mifare products but there is literature which describes the use of the TRF7970A for the EV1. If there are differences when using the EV2 or EV3 I cannot answer.
As long as standard ISO14443A commands are used, the TRF7970A can handle that. When it comes to the authentication process the so called "Direct Mode0" has to be used, which means the processor has to handle the protocol at bitlevel. This is also timing critical.
I can provide you literature for better understanding the use of the TRF7970A with Mifare cards:

MIFARE DESFire EV1 AES Authentication With TRF7970A

I am not aware of a firmware example for the M0+. The examples provided are for the MSP430 and have to be adapted to your needs.
Additional information can also be found by a search in this forum.
