CC1312R: RX and TX no data

Good day,

We built a small RF transceiver dongle based on the LaunchXL-CC1312R1.

I loaded the rfEasyLinkTx Example code on our dongle and launched SmartRF studio on another launchpad.

If I view continuous RX, I can see that our dongle transmits, but when I use Packet RX I do not see any data coming in.

I then Tested the same code on another launchpad and I could see the RX data coming in.

I tested the same with rfEasyLinkRx loaded on the dongle and a second launchpad.

When using the studio to transmit data, I could see the 2nd launchpad receiving the data, but the dongle does not.

Any suggestions to what might be wrong?

Hi Douglas,

Could you specify which simplelink SDK version, as well as compiler and OS are you using?

Have you measured frequency offset for the dongle? This is a typical issue when it comes to custom board not able to omunicate with Launchpad.

Hi,

We're using SimpleLink CC13xx CC26xx SDK 6.10.00.29 with Code Composer Studio on Windows 10.

The code works on all of our launchpads, but just not on the dongle based on the launchpad.

We had the frequency tested, and they couldn't find any problems with it.

We replaced the 48MHz Crystal with one from the launchpad and now it works. We suspect that we might have received faulty parts. We did not suspect the crystal as we managed to see that the device transmits, and thought that the problem might be elsewhere.
