CC1200: How to calculate the RSSI offset?

In the user manual in all the places where RSSI offset is mentioned, the offset is considered to be -81dBm. Is that a constant value to be used? or it has to found out with experiments according to the RSSI section on user manual (pg 37) and set the calculated value in AGC_GAIN _ADJUST register?

Hi,

If you are not using any external LNA or other front end modules, the suggestion would be to use the RSSI offset value that is found in Smart RF studio.

I meant, if your design includes additional external component like CC1190. Then that should be accounted for. But, if you are using only CC1200, then the value of RSSI offset mentioned in SmartRF studio is the one to be used.

okay.. so this RSSI offset value, do i need to set in any register ?
