Hi,

How do I enable CUI print out to BOOSTXL-SHARP128 at SDKv5.10 collector example program. I understand the communication at BOOSTXL-SHARP128 uses SPI. I would like to use the UART for communication to another board.

Hi Markel,

It should be as easy as redefining the display handle to go to the LCD display instead of the UART.

You can take a look at the Display example to see how to configure the LCD display:

Hi Marie H,

I do not think it is possible after introduction of use of syscfg from SDKv3.40. It is possible at SDKv3.10 since it still uses the board files. Discussed in this post below.

It will be a lot of work to convert the CUI to communication from UART to SPI for BOOSTXL-SHARP128. I need to use the UART to communicate with a Blues Wireless cellular or WiFi notecard.

But, anyway I just need another way to see the status between collector and several sensors. I read that if I use secure mode, I can use a smartphone app to do that.

Hi Markel,

My understanding is that the Display driver should handle this for you. But I don't know whether CUI is using the Display driver or UART2 driver directly.

Yes we have TI 15.4-Stack + BLE examples in the SDK.

Or, if this is just for debugging, we have enabled TI Logging modules in the TI 15.4-Stack examples in the newest SDK. This can use UART, ITM or SRAM as the log sink.

Hi Marie H,

I think the CUI uses UART1, according to this.

At syscfg it uses the display driver but there is no way to change the type of display.

But, anyway I will try other way to view the status between collector and sensor.
