Hi I'm WooSeok Han

I want to sniffing by CC1350 launchpad and sniffer2

not detect device on windows PC and fail XDS110 driver installation

PC OS : Windows 7 Professional K 64 bit

Installed file : ccsv 7.3.0, simplelink_cc13x0_sdk_3_10_00_11, ti_emupack_setup_8.0.903.4_win_32,

uniflash_sl.4.6.0.2176, WireShark 2.6.7, SmartRF_Packet_Sniffer2_1.7.0 etc

I tried installation that path

C:\ti\ccsv7\ccs_base\emulation\windows

However, the installation error message and "the specified file can not be found" are displayed.

and also, XDS110 is update complete

Please help me install the driver and detect the device.

If you download and install latest Flash Programmer 2, can it recognize your LAUNCHXL-CC1350?

Yes I tried to install both flash-programmer-2-1.8.0, flash-programmer-1.12.8 but it was not detected.

In the flash programmer2 (v1.8.0), the CC1350 connection on the XDS 110, L400A3BO tab succeeded.

However, it is still not detected by smartRF packet sniffer 2 (v1.7.0).

I think the problem that is not detected by the sniffer agent is related to the driver installation.

But the driver installation is not working right now.

When I run the Device Manager's Driver Software Update and try to update using C: \ ti \ ccsv7 \ ccs_base \ emulation \

windows folder

"I found the driver software for my device, but I received an error while trying to install it.
The specified file could not be found. "
Screen is displayed.

Is there any other way I can try to solve this problem?

The sniffer image download succeeds.

firmware is C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\SmartRF Packet Sniffer 2\sniffer_fw\bin\cc13x0lp\sniffer_fw.hex

Try to refer to ReadMe.txt under C:\ti\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110 to do xds110 fw update to test again and see if it works.

Based on the contents of readme.txt

1. We updated the firmware using xdsdfu.
xdsdfu -m
xdsdfu -f firmware.bin -r

2. We changed the serial number using xdsdfu.
xdsdfu -m
xdsdfu -n 1647 -r

As a result, the problem is the same.
Please help me.

Is it possible that anti-virus SW or firewall no your PC blocking auto driver search? I would suggest you to stop anti-virus SW or firewall no your PC to try to detect driver automatically from Windows device manager.

If you have issues with the driver not been installed correctly, please contact IT services at your location since this is most likely caused by how the local PC/ network is set up and not our tools.
