CC1310: Tx transmit power setting below -10 dbm

Part Number: CC1310

Champs,

Customer is experimenting with TX power setting below -10 dbm. We reviewed the earlier discussions on the topic ( https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/sub-1-ghz/f/156/t/613593 and https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/sub-1-ghz/f/156/p/612071/2253422#2253422 ).

In the experiments though any "logical" attempts to modify the config value to further decrease the output power only caused it to increase.

We realize that the values below -10dbm are not recommended but the customer would still like to experiment and possibly do their own characterization if it works for them.

your guidance as to how to get the config value to go below -10 db would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi,

The lowest is -10dBm. As explained in the other posts, we can't go less than -10dBm. It will be very unstable and in-accurate. If they need less Tx power then better to use an external Attenuator.

If they still want to experiment then they can use the following post for guidance.

    Thanks,
