We are struggling to transmit on both RF_ANT1 and RF_ANT2.
We are using the WiLink8 calibration tool to generate test signals (https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/swru562/swru562.pdf?ts=1657643672356&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.google.com%252F). This question centers around the “start_tx” command. More specifically the “rate” parameter of the start_tx command (shown below).
When we use the start_tx command we are observing that the generated test signal is not on both RF_ANT1 and RF_ANT2. It appears the antenna utilized depends on the selected rate. Our observations indicate that rates 0 (1.0 Mbps) through 20 (MCS8) only transmit on RF_ANT1. If we set to rate to 21 (MCS9) and above we will see signal on both RF_ANT1 and RF_ANT2. Can you help us understand this. It appears the WL1837MOD determines SISO or MIMO based on the transmission rate. Is that how it works?
Thanks
