Team,
Can you please help answer my customer's question below:
We were finally able to get the module tested with the lab but I have a question specifically regarding the power tables of the BLE portion of the module. According to the lab, for them to get an accurate EIRP reading they had to do the following commands prior to running the compliance test:
hcitool cmd 0x3F 0x0182 0x03 0xD3 0xDC 0xE5 0xEE 0xF7 0x00 0x0A 0x14 0x3F 0xFF 0x00 // Set BLE LP vector values
hcitool cmd 0x3F 0x0182 0x09 0xD3 0xDC 0xE5 0xEE 0xF7 0x00 0x0A 0x14 0x3F 0xFF 0x00 // Set BLE HP vector values
hcitool cmd 0x3F 0x1FB 0x00 0x00 0x08 0x00 0x00 0x01 // Enable RF calibration
This sets the BLE LP and HP power vectors, however, we have never modified these values since using the module and thus I find it confusing that we must modify them now considering that our antenna is within the specified gain for compliance and thus BLE EIRP should not exceed the 10dBi restriction.
Consequently, I wonder if we must run these modified BLE power vector commands every time or if this is only due to running the power test? Could you please help us figure this out.
Thank you!

Hi Viktorija,
Ill look into this and follow up later this week

Hi Rogelio,
Checking back if you were able to find answers for us, please.
Thanks
Viktorija
Hi Viktorija,
If the customers device is within the dBm restriction, they will not need to change the power vectors. Im not sure how the their test house was testing their EIRP but it might have only been necessary for their testing.
Best,
Rogelio
