If it is used code based on CC3200 SDK, that error behaviour with CC3220 is expected. You need to port your code to CC32xx SDK as we told you before at this thread.
Can you please specify what SDK version you are using? Also Jan is correct that the CC32xx and CC3200 SDK are different and the code will have to be ported if upgrading from gen1 to gen2.
