CC3135MOD: TI demo Board(CC31XXEMUBOOST+BOOSTXL-CC3135 )SRRC Certification adaptivity test

Part Number: CC3135MOD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BOOSTXL-CC3135, CC31XXEMUBOOST

TI team,

We use TI demo board (CC31XXEMUBOOST+BOOSTXL-CC3135) for adaptivity testing, use TI's software Radio Tool.

The first is thing that needs to be clarified  that we are simply allowing the BOOSTXL-CC3135 to transmitted data, without a Partner device, so it does not meet SRRC's testing requirements.

Our goal is to verify whether the WIFI Interference Detection function of the BOOSTXL-CC3135 is effective, and use this as a comparative test.

Why is the TI demo board able to successfully pass the adaptive test at a frequency of 5180MHz using the Radio Tool? but fail at 5240MHZ, 5260MHZ, and 5320MHZ?

test environment see below:

  • Hey Song,

The Radio Tool Gui cant be used for Adaptivity so I'm not sure what is being tested here, but could be the reason for observing fails. To run the adaptivity test, the Module will need a Host connection to be configured into STA mode and connect to an AP. Once this is done, a tool like Iperf can be used to generate the UDP traffic. An interferer signal will need to be introduced to test the Channel Access mechanism.
