CC3235MODASF: Active scan and passive scan

Part Number: CC3235MODASF

Tool/software:

Hi,

My customer has a question for the original post.
In the thread, below answer was provided. The customer wants to know what the RED test exactly means.

---------------
The device picks between active and passive scan according to the regulatory domain set to the device.
You can look at the same doc, appendix C, Regulatory Domain. Under the 5GHz DFS column, you can find all the channels that are using passive scans. The other channels are using active scans.
---------------

Below is a part of appendix C, Table C-1.

For Japan cells, Channel 52, 56, 60, 64, 100, 104, 108, 112, 116, 120, 124, 128, 132, 136, 140 are listed in "5GHz DFS" column.
So all these channels are passive scan.
Then "other channels" in "2.4GHz", "5GHz" both "STA Supported Channels" and "AP supported Channels" are all active scan. Correct?

Thanks and regards,
Koichiro Tashiro
