Is it possible to receive action-frames (IEEE80211_FTYPE_MGMT, IEEE80211_STYPE_ACTION) with the wl1271 in STA/Ad-Hoc mode when using the OpenLink driver?
Action frames seem to be filtered out by the firmware at the moment. Is it possible to adjust the wl12xx driver's filter settings to let them pass to the driver or is this behavior hard-coded in the firmware?
It is not possible to receive action frames in STA\Ad-Hoc mode.
This behavior is hard coded in the FW.
Are there any plans to add a new filter option to the firmware which allows action frames to pass through the firmware?
This would be necessary for enabling 802.11s for the wl1271, too.
Hi,
I am not aware of schedule for supporting 802.11s for wl1271

Hi,
I verified with Marketing and there is no plan to support 802.11s.

After 2 years, will TI support 802.11s MAC amendments or have a MAC implementation that already supports 802.11s? Is there a Wi-Fi SoC solution where the MAC firmware is opened up for so that the integrator may extend the existing MAC implementation to support 802.11s?
