Tool/software:
Hi,
In our design we use the "CC2564CRVMR" Bluetooth chip. What we obsereve is that "Audio Plops" occur. I saw in an older forum that this problem occurs also with other customers. An possible given solution is using wideband speach. What we however observe is that using wideband speach does reduce the problem but not take it completely away. In my understanding wideband speach does do some error correction but does not take solve the root cause.
Our design is as follows: On the PCB there are 4 CC2564CRVMR chips. 1 is connected to a mobile phone, the 3 other to 3 headsets.
To simplify the problem we turned the 3 headsets off (no bluetooth connection then) and make only the Mobile phone connection active. The mobile phone is muted. When we then measure with an oscilloscope at the output of "AUD_OUT" we see now and then an unexplainable pulse train. This unexplainable pulse train is in our opinion the reason for the plops. We use the servicpack 1.5.
Do you have any idea what causes the audio plops?
Thank and regards,
Ralph Geraeds
Hi Ralph,
Im not sure what could be causing these audio plops. Are you using the bluetoipa stack? What profile are you using? What QOS do you have in the audio connection. Do you have multiple connections while playing audio? Can you send me screenshots of your testing?
Best,
Rogleio
Hi Rogleio,
We are using bluetopia stack. Further we use HandsfreeProfile_AudioGateway(HFP_AG) and HandsfreeProfile_HandsFreeHFP_(HF), We also use Wideband Speech (mSBC codec) .
Our general setup is that 1 mobile phone can talk to 3 headsets. 1 headset can also talk the other 2 are just listening. So the device has 4 bluetooth moduls. The plops also occurs if 2 headsets are not connected so that only 2 BT modules are active. The problem is very familiar with the issue described in"CC2564C: Phone audio pops heard from headset - Bluetooth forum - Bluetooth®︎ - TI E2E support forums". Was for that post an solution found?
What screenshots or further information can we send?
Thanks and regards,
Ralph Geraeds
