WL1837MOD: WL1837MOD Wi-Fi certifications

Part Number: WL1837MOD

According to the datasheet (swrs170i.pdf, section 6.4),

The WL18MODGI modules from TI (test grades 07 and 37) are certified for FCC, IC, ETSI/CE, and Japan MIC. Moreover, the module is also Wi-Fi certified and has the ability to request a certificate transfer for WiFi alliance members. TI customers that build products based on the WL18MODGI device from TI can save on testing costs and time per product family. Table 6-4 shows the certification list for the WL18MODGI module.

However, I can't find any details of the Wi-Fi certification, and some of the forum answers suggest that these modules are not actually certified with the Wi-Fi Alliance. Can you please clarify TI's position on this?

My particular interest is in WL1837MODGIMOCR, but I presume this will apply to all members of the family.

Thanks,
John
