Tool/software: Code Composer Studio
My goal is to get the CC3120BOOST to connect to my personal hotspot (either laptop or iphone). The host is CC2652R1 MCU.
However, I can't seem to find any of the plugins/SDKs associated with CC3120 on code composer studio. I have already downloaded "SIMPLELINK-SDK-WIFI-PLUGIN_2.40.00.22" on my computer but it is not showing up on code composer studio.
I have tried the "network terminal" demo on CC2653r1. I was able to get the terminal to open...with several AP commands. But I couldn't get it to connect to my personal hotspot though.
Where do I start?
Any help at all would be much appreciated.
Hi,
To make CCS recognize the Wi-Fi Plugin or any SDK, go to Window->Preferences in the top menu bar. Go to Code Composer Studio->Products and click Rediscover. If the latest Wi-Fi Plugin is still not in Installed products, you may have installed the software in a different path. Add that path to the Product discovery path and try Rediscover again.
For basic exercises using Network Terminal, please see the Wi-Fi Fundamentals SimpleLink Academy. The example will work the same on the CC26x2R1 + CC3120.
If you want to try an example where the software is set up for provisioning to AP without the terminal commands, try the Provisioning example with the Wi-Fi Provisioning SimpleLink Academy.
Best regards,
Sarah
