CC2650STK: 6loWPAN Battery Drain

Hey folks, I am running the cc26xx-web-demo and using a BBB as my 6lbr router. The one thing I have noticed is that the battery lasts only a couple of hours on the sensortag, even when I turn off all but one of the sensors in the 6lbr browser. Any tips to maximize battery life?

Hi Cameron,

Have you tried the very-sleepy-demo? Should be found under the same root folder as the cc26xx-web-demo example.

Thanks for the response Severin! I was under the impression that I couldn't make a 6LoWPAN mesh with that demo. I am going to have close to 50 sensors communicating with each other. Will that still work?

Your end devices in your mesh network can run the very-sleepy-demo example.

Awesome! I will give that a try. Will I still be able to extract my data from the sensors with MQTT or IBM Quickstart?

You end devices will be able to publish data with MQTT yes.
