CC3135: Programming CC3135 Module - Development

I am using CC3135 module in my custom board and provided option for both UART and SPI programming as mentioned in checklist.

1. For first time programming the prototype, can I connect XDS110 debug probe to UART lines of CC3135 module directly?

2. Or for first time, I need to connect SPI serial flash with SPI programmer (Segger J link) and program the external Flash and it is sufficient for normal operation?

Kindly suggest how to program my prototype.

Hi,

Both ways (UART, SPI flash programmer) are possible. Please see production line guide.

Thanks for your information. Can I know the the CC3135 SOP pins during programming in UART and SPI and during normal operation.

Kindly let me know the boot mode table for CC3135 with SOP[2:0] for the above conditions.

The SOP pins can be held low for normal flashing on the CC3135, but there are other options available as noted in the datasheet.

Hi Sarah,

In datasheet, I had not found different options of SOP pins during flashing. Kindly let me know the section number in datasheet or any other technical documents for referring the same.

Hi R.Sivasuryan,

Please see the Pin Description and Attributes table for the other functions of the SOP pins, such as factory restore. There is only one flashing option on the CC3135.
