The one with the + in front. It is default set to =y (Yes).

We have no specification of what this parameter actually does.

We do not have an INI file when running with the embedded Linux driver. Could you advise where to find it’s equivalent with the embedded Linux driver.

Driver supplier is Variscite, as the module is placed on their SOM DART MX6 module:

https://www.variscite.com/product/system-on-module-som/cortex-a9/dart-mx6-cpu-freescale-imx6/

A few questions for clarification- answers added:

1)      are you doing this in conducted or radiated mode.

Conducted mode, but also radiated at the test institute.

2)      what INI file are you using? You should be using the WL1835MOD_C2PC.INI file

Please advise where to look for the equivalent with our driver.

3)      Since you are using Calibrator commands, did you go thru the configuration to ensure you set the device up properly?

Yes we used the commands listed above in accordance with the manual on the Wiki you supplied a link to below.

4)      Are you measuring on the correct antenna port?

 Yes, tried them both.

5)      Note that although you trying to set to 20 dBm, you will not be able to achieve this as the INI file and FW will limit the power. 0 dBm is low and expect this to be closer to 12 to 15dBm.

Please advise where to find equivalent to the INI file in our driver setup.

6)      have you run thru with one of our COM8 boards and RTTT? I would suggest this as well so you can ensure you are measuring the appropriate power and thus have a point of reference.

We do not have your evaluation kit. We have the module on the Variscite board. At the test site, they could not measure any spurious at all and then they checked the radiated power was as desired and found it to be very week. We therefore did a conducted test with a spectrum analyzer and found the output power to be 0dbm.

  • Hi,

can you please provide your schematic for review? Also can you please show a picture of how you are connecting the RF cable to the output of the module? Is the antenna also connected during this measurement. Can you also provide the dump files so we can review the configuration?

    Thanks,

    Riz

  • Hi,

I don't see any issues with the calibrator commands. Can you provide the info requested for review?

    Thanks,

    Riz
