Regarding “A process for adding additional antennas for Japan certification”, Customer would like to know this rough cost and how long this work will take . Could you elaborate them, please?

I tried to clock “SIMPLELINK-CC3XXX-REQUEST”, however, it seems this link is wrong. Could you also check this link, please?

Best regards,

Miyazaki

  • Takayuki,

On the certification page, scroll down and click the Request button in the table below the Description and Features.

I will reach out to our test house and get back to you shortly to answer your question on cost and time.

  • Hello Seong,

Thanks for your help. I found we are able to do download “Module Certification Request Form”(swal005c.pdf), as you mentioned. Also, regarding this work, it will take two weeks at least. However, I don’t believe that this format includes “additional antenna for Japan” request, as far as I checked. Could you elaborate how should customer request this request by this form, please?

Also, regarding cost, customer would like to estimate their budget for this request and hey would like to know how customer pay this cost to TI.

    Best regards,

    Miyazaki

  • Takayuki,

Use the form and make a note that the customer is requesting support for adding an antenna for Japan certification.

After reviewing the antenna datasheet and confirming that the gain is less than our max gain on the Japan certification, we will then loop in our test house with the customer and they could work together directly and discuss cost and time. Once we get the "okay" from the test house, we'll then write and submit all required letters to the test house. The test house will then update the reports and certification.

    BR,

    Seong

  • Hi Seong,
