Hi Jonathon,

It looks like the customer is trying to run an CC3220 example imported from Resource Explorer. The CC3200 devices are only supported by the CC3200 SDK, available for download here: https://www.ti.com/tool/CC3200SDK. The CC3200 Getting Started Guides should all indicate the customer use this CC3200 SDK.

The latest CC32xx SDK supports CC3220 and CC323x devices only.

Hello Sarah,

Our customer would like to confirm if we have SDK for Linux?:
I tried sharing this thread to the customer:

Here's the response I got from the customer:
"I don't have wine installed. Even if I did I can't get connected on WIndows 10 to even flash the device through the JTAG port. At this point I would like to apply for a RMA for these devices since it appears to me they are out of date or obsolete or not supported. Please advise."

Is there any help we can offer to the customer?

Hi Jonathon,

There is no CC3200 SDK installer supported for Linux machines.

The CC3200 software and documentation is all available on ti.com and the product is fully supported. The customer can read about our product life cycle policy here: www.ti.com/.../product-life-cycle.html

Hi Jonathon,

To clarify, the CC3200 is our first-generation Wi-Fi device and while it is fully supported, it does not receive quarterly updates or new feature development at this time.

If they want the latest software (including the CC32xx SDK which has a Linux installer), they should look at our CC3220 devices: https://www.ti.com/wireless-connectivity/wi-fi/overview.html
