Hi Experts

This thread is related to the following https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/wifi/f/968/p/979766/3622592#3622592.

Customer was able to confirm SPPLE was working with bluetopia linux stack (without PM). However, this demonstration did not seem to establish the connection. I mean, pairing was not executed. Customer tried to understand how customer should execute the paring, but, they were not able to find it. Can I have your expert's advice/comments on this, please?

Hi Miyazaki-san,

Does the customer have the user's guide for the SPPLE demo? The included BLE functionality based off of the one for the CC2564C, see attached in case they don't have it on hand:

For the pairing sequence, are both controller/peripheral TI BT devices?

In general, for pairing to work there are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Make sure that the WL18xx device is discoverable/connectable/pairable. The customer can enable those settings through the respective SetDiscoverabilityMode, SetConnectabilityMode, and SetPairabilityMode commands.

2. Make sure that the controller and peripheral are connected before attempting to pair. You will need to use the AdvertiseLE command to allow peripherals to successfully connect.

On my setup, I am successfully able to use my WL18xx with the LinuxSPPLE binary provided to pair. Simply performing the two steps above allowed my peripheral device to send and complete a pairing request to the WL18xx.

I shared those information with customer. as the result, customer was able to confirm pairing sequence was working fine.
