CC2652P7: hardware interface help

Hi,

Designed a custom board( CC2652P7 chips -> 1 master and 3 slaves interfaces with SPI).

Unfortunately, SPI Controller and Peripheral projects in SDK are not working fine.

Only 2 of the slave's responded but not consistent. One of the slave's never responded

DIO_12 is chip select pin ( output of SPI controller, output strength configured to medium in syscfg)

DIO_13 is SPI peripheral ready pin ( which is an input to the SPI controller).

On both the lines there is a pull up of 51k Ohms. Is this ok?

What else need to be cross checked?

Try to only Connect the non-responsive SPI Slave device to see if it responds first.

Hi Chen,

Unfortunately, don't have an easy way to isolate chips.

Btw, is the pull up ok?

I suppose you can use scope to check SPI signal to confirm if pull-up resister is OK or not.

Hi Karthik,

Here is your previous E2E thread for reference. Have you submitted your custom board to SIMPLELINK-2-4GHZ-DESIGN-REVIEWS for further review? Did you evaluate the spicontroller and spiperipheral examples with LP-CC1352P7 LaunchPads? Are you aware of the additional SPI connections required to make these examples work by default? Do you have a logic analyzer or oscilloscope available to physically measure the SPI lines? You can attempt to remove the external pull-up resistors if you are concerned about them, and you must find a way to isolate the chips for testing purposes.

Hi Ryan,

I haven't shared details for a technical review of schematics.

I have not verified the examples with Launchpad kits.

I had configured the IO connections of my board in syscfg accordingly.Was able to see responses occasionally from two slave devices and one never responded.

Unfortunately, the form factor is such that I am not able to access IO pins. Else, would have tried to measure SPI lines.
