CC2652P: Firmware for packet sniffer

I'm trying to use Ti Packet Sniffer with a CC2652P module. Accroading to the user manual, the software only provides binary fimware files for chips like CC1352P CC2652R. Is there any compatiable file I can use? If not, where can I get the proper firmware for CC2652P chip, or the software just doesn't support CC2652P?

BTW, I noticed some old posts use CC2531 with packet sniffer, the firmware of CC2531 was located at <install_dir>/sniffer_fw/bin/general/firmware/sniffer_fw_cc2531.hex But in Packet Sniffer2 version 1.10.0, the "general" folder just don't exist. To get the CC2531 firmware, should I download a old version of software?

You can try to run sniffer fw for CC1352P to your CC2652P to see if it works.

It works.

I used the firmware located in cc1352p1lp folder and the software successfully detected the hardware. But the software produce error when trying to srart the service, like this:

Accroading to this post: LAUNCHXL-CC1352P: Packet sniffer 2: error sending message, msg CfgPhy, problem unknown

I replaced the xml config file and now the service can start.

But there is an another question I mentioned before, where can I find the firmware of CC2531?

Hi acha,

You should likely be using the C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\SmartRF Packet Sniffer 2\sniffer_fw\bin\cc1352p2lp folder for CC1352P/CC2652P 2.4 GHz sniffer firmware. The CC2531 is only supported the Packet Sniffer program (I.e. not "2"), and once installed you can locate it from C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\Packet Sniffer\bin\general\firmware
