Hi Ti folks

Is it possible to get the binaries of z stack Linux gateway for raspberry pi. I have tested it for beaglebone. I would like to test it for raspberry as we are presently using raspbeery pi. How do I get the binaries for raspberry pi. How do I port it on raspberry

You have to sign SLA with TI to get full source code and build it for raspberry Pi by yourself.

No, I don't do it by myself. However, I read someone on E2E forum reports he already made it work.

You have to sign SLA with TI representative to get full source code. I cannot share it with you.

okay . And is it like how we get the temperature data in beaglebone. More or less similar. or r there some extra features. Are u using raspeberry pi 2 ?

I setup cross compiler for Raspberry Pi on my VirtualBox Ubuntu 32 bit Linux and do build.

I don't change anything in source code. I just git cross compiler for raspberry Pi and build source code.

I would let you know once I have the full source code. I have arm gcc binaries installed in my windows . I would be happy if you could help me after I have full source code. I have contacted TI for it but still no reply

At the moment I have Linux gateway 1.0.1 which we use for beaglebone . It has the arm 38883.tar binaries. Could we cross compile it on raspberry pi. Would it work. or should I wait for the full code.

2) I would like to know what is the difference between this gateway that we use for beaglebone and that we use for raspberry pi.

I don't think the prebuilt binary for BeagleBone would work on Raspberry Pi. Since BeagleBone and Raspberry Pi use different ARM core, you have to use corresponding tool chains to build binary for two different platforms.

did u use gcc-arm-none-eabi-4_9-2015q2-20150609-win32.exe for raspberry pi. or some other compiler. I just refered to the Cygwin tutorial for contiki that was posted in sunmaysky blogspot

You can get cross compiler for Raspberry Pi from github.com/.../tools and I build source code of Z-Stack Linux Home gateway on VirtualBox 32 bit Ubuntu not Cygwin.

Thanks for the link yikhai. I am not able to clone the git though in Ubuntu. Do u use git clone --recursive git@github.com:raspberrypi/tools.git to clone it to your virtualbox

Check if you do "export TCLIB=~/tools/arm-bm2708/gcc-linaro-arm-linux-gnueabihf-raspbian/lib/".

You should add those PATH and TCLIB to your .bashrc under your home directory. After you add those PATH and TCLIB to your .bashrc, you have to start a new terminal to build the source code.

I first installed the raspberry pi tools in the home directory. after that I used the "chmod +x Z-Stack_Linux_Gateway-1.0.1-src-linux-installer.run. I then ran the .run file. I got the source from it which was installed in the home/Shivaraman/Z-Stack_Linux_Gateway-1.0.1-src. After that I added the export path in the nano. bashrc in the cd /Shivaraman directory. After that the I restarted the terminal. Then I build the source and I got the arm binaries file in source /out/ Precompiler_arm. Then I copied it to USB stick and copied it to the raspberry pi. and then I did untar. and followed the steps .

yes i did that. i got it running yesterday. I rebooted the raspberry and it started working. But today morning it doesnt work again. it stops at one place and doesnt load the network mananger.
