Hello,

I am using CC2530 ZNP with Beagle Bone Black via UART communication.

Here I have added devices to the network by doing permit join on Z-Stack Linux Gateway, once the devices were added I was able to control the devices i.e. send ON, OFF and LEVEL command to SampleLight Device.

But now when I rebooted Beagle Bone Black and started ZigBee gateway and application, the device's that were added previously was not available in ZigBee network.

These devices were removed from network automatically also, the devices were not present in csv files that contain's list of added ZigBee modules.

But at the same time network address of the SampleLight was not changed (checked it by sniffing the packet).

What could be the problem here?

When I test Z-Stack Linux GW, the devices are always kept in device list unless I do a factory reset. Do you revise anything in Linux GW?

Dear Yikai,

We have done no changes in Linux GW.

It was working fine for us also, but we started facing this problem of nowhere.

What could be reasons for this kind of behaviour on Linux GW?

For now, we are trying by reinstalling everything. But we would like to find out the problem so that it does not occur in future.

You can reproduce this issue every time you restart Linux GW?

Dear Yikai,

Did not test it with every restart of Linux GW, Because as per our application once GW started we never turn it OFF, its been turned OFF only when bone power's OFF and is turned ON on bone power ON.

Dear Yikai,

We tested it further. And had the following observation,

1) Device are there in the network when added.
2) On Beagle Bone Black reboot which is connected with CC2530 + CC2592 ZNP we find that the devices that were added in the network gets removed but the problem is not conistent i.e. It is not removed from the network everytime I reboot it, it occurs only some time.

We are unable to narrow down the problem here, can you help us with this?

I have suggested you to use ZTool to verify your own CC2530 + CC2592 ZNP. Do you use ZTool to test it?

Try to use Ztool and your CC2530-CC2592 module to act as ZC and make a ZED to join. See if everything works fine.

I have already tested this. And we have discussed this e2e.ti.com/.../490409

The problem here is that the devices sometimes get cleared from Z-Stack Linux Gateway.

I am not clear out your test results. So, is there any problem when you test your CC2530-CC2592 with ZTool?

No Sir the porblem is with devices automatically getting removed from Beagle Bone on restart.

If there is no problem on ZTool but you keep seeing this problem on BBB, that's strange. Can you do the test again on BBB and attach the sniffer log?

Dear Yikai,

I tried sniffing the log but there is no Remove Device command fired.

The SampleLight Device are there in the network but the devices are absent when Bone is Rebooted and this problem occurs randomly, it does not happen on every Reboot it happens once in a while.

It seems there's something wrong with your BBB application. I would suggest you to reinstall Z-Stack Linux Home GW to your BBB and test again.
