Hi,

I want to run the start_application script (which runs main.bin file) from services on beagle bone black. I am using the Z-Stack_Linux_Gateway-1.0.1. When I run this script through service it increases my CPU utilization for main.bin from less than 1 % ( before running it through service ) to consistently around 80 - 90 % ( after running it through service ) till I stop the service. I am unable to figure out what is the problem and also is it possible to disable the user interface on the Gateway?

Does Z-Stack Linux Home GW work normally and you can do device joins and control when this happens?

The thing is when I run the original script with service I wont get access to the user interface (I think it is not possible to access the user interface once you run it through service). So I changed the source code such that it should support an application written in C. In that case everything works (device joins and control) fine but it becomes slow since the main.bin consumes too much CPU.

I would suggest you to use bone-debian-7.8-lxde-4gb-armhf-2015-03-01-4gb and try again.

I upgraded the debian recently. Earlier I was using 7.8 only. And the problem was persisting there too.

I just run it on my BBB with bone-debian-7.8-lxde-4gb-armhf-2015-03-01-4gb and don't see the same issue. I suggest you to make a new SD card with bone-debian-7.8-lxde-4gb-armhf-2015-03-01-4gb and test again.

The .service file from which you ran and checked start_application script.

I don't have .sevice file. I run "./zigbeeHAgw beaglebone" in one console and "./start_application" in another to start Z-Stack Linux Home GW UI.

I mentioned in my question that while running the start_application from service only I'm getting problem (too high CPU utilisation for main.bin). If I ran it through console it works fine in my case also.

Maybe try to add some delay before you start zigbeeHAgw and start_application.
