Hi,
I have done som test with the setup described here:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Cc26xx_sw_examples
And it works well...
Starting to plan the production step, we asked ourselves whether there are production ready 6LoWPAN border routers out there.
I mean, you probably wont place a Beagle Bone Black with an USB-Dongle (as described in the link above) in production at your customer, do you?
so I would like to know, how you solved the problem.
What HW and SW did you use?
Have you ordered a tailor made HW?
I mean, this "IoT" stuff is such a huge topic these days, it would surprice me if the majority where using a border router as described above for a ... say milion dollar paper mill plant.
So if you have set up a productive mesch network with border router and stuff.
Please share your knowledge with us.
Thanks!
//Stefan
I know WEPTECH use CC2538 as 6LowPAN border router which you can refer to www.weptech.de/6LoWPAN_IoT_Gateway_EN.html
Our our customers typically use a gateway like the Weptech gateway that YiKai Chen links to, or a custom device based on a CC2538, CC1310, or CC2650. Here is one example of a commercial product uses such a gateway: www.lights.de/.../
Depending on the production volume, it sometimes make sense to use an off-the-shelf device, and sometimes makes sense to construct your own hardware. In any case, using an existing hardware for prototyping is almost always the best option. We have instructions for how to put together a prototype system with the Weptech gateway here:
