CC2520 output power

Refer to PA_POWER [7:0] register description in SmartRF studio for the various output power levels.

Refer to the CC2520 software examples: www.ti.com/.../swru137b.pdf ; page 13 shows how the PER and RSSI is calculated.

Hi Amit,
The hex values for TX power are characterized to produce respective RF power level in dBm when written to TXPOWER register of the device. See Table 17 of user guide www.ti.com/.../cc2520.pdf.

The RSSI is 2's complement signed number. You can convert that to dBm when read from RSSI register as follows:
rssi = (int16)((int8)ReadReg(RSSI_REGISTER));
rssi = rssi - RSSI_OFFSET;

RSSI_OFFSET = 76dB ( from datasheet)
