Compiler/CC2531: CC2531 ZNP communication with Linux

Hi Guys,

I´m working on CC2531 to establish USB communication with Rpi3 (Raspbian Inside) and after it I´ll use ZNP API and IBM Node-Red to building a Zigbee Gateway.

I used the CC2531 ZNP project inside ZStack 3.0 projects.

somebody can advise me if the ZNP project is the best way to building myself a Zigbee gateway?

I know the Texas Zigbee lighting gateway.

Hi Alex,

The ZNP firmware that comes with the SENSOR-TO-CLOUD solution is based off of the Z-Stack 3.0.x ZNP project with changes to enable MTO concentrator configuration. I recommend that you evaluate the SimpleLink CC2652R/CC1352P solution.

Hi Ryan, thanks a lot for your quickly response!

I already used the Zigbee Linux Zigbee_3_0_linux_gateway_1_0_0 together CC2531EMK, but as i said you before I would like to build a new one using a CC2531EMK and Rpi3 (w/ IBM Node-Red Inside).

I think that the best way, to building it, is working with ZNP API available in \Z-Stack 3.0.1\Projects\zstack\ZNP\CC253x\CC2531-Debug.

It is the best way?

You shouldn't need any changes to the CC2531 ZNP since it uses the standard MT NPI for communication with the host, but if required (for debugging or otherwise) then the project mentioned is the best place to start. Please refer to the API guides provided in both Z-Stack and SENSOR-TO-CLOUD.
