CC2530: Force route rediscovery

Hi,

Our gateway (ZC) would receive some message from a ZR and when it tries to respond, (occasionally) we would get an AF_DATA_REQUEST status of 0xCD. When I looked up what this means, I found that it means to no route to destination. If this happens, is there any function I can call to force to coordinator to rediscover the route to that node and possibly find one at that time.

Also, can anyone please clarify what ZDO_MGMT_NWK_DISC_REQ exactly does?

I suggest you to use many-to-one for route discovery which you can refer to chapter 5 in Z-Stack Developer's Guide.pdf

Thanks for that info, I read through that section of the user guide and found out about the NLME_RouteDiscoveryRequest() command. In the coordinator ZNP code, I found that this function is called from MT_NwkCommandProcessing() and from MT_ZdoCommandProcessing(). But in the Monitor and Test document, I was unable to find a command that would do this. Does any such API/command exist?

You can use MT command ZDO_EXT_ROUTE_DISC.
