Please let me know about a gain setup of TAS5768M.

I think that Closed Loop AMP of datasheet figure 30 is fixed Gain,

and inputs the calculation result of DSP into DAC, it carries out gain control.

 

Is a gain fluctuated by DAC?

Or is it only making it decrease?

    Hi Satoshi-san,

    The TAS5768M has several gain settings described in the datasheet:

    1. Section 8.4.7.5 shows a Volume Block and a Fixed Gain Block. These are digital and within the DSP Smart Amp algorithm.
    2. Section 9.2.1.2 shows the gain level (analog output amplifier closed loop gain) controlled by GAIN/FSW pin (see Table 22).
    3. Table 23 shows DAC output gain, which resides in Page 1 / Register 2. This gain scales the DAC fullscale voltage to either 1Vrms or 2Vrms.
