TPA3121D2 with single channel use

Hi all,

What is the proper way as the processing method of the below pins when the right channel is not used?

1) RIN pin
2)PVCCR1 pin
3)PVCCR2 pin
4)AVCC2 pin
5)BSR pin
6)OUTR pin

    RIN pin ,should connect to GND with 1uF capacitor;
    PVCCL and PVCCR are shorted internally, so only need PVCCL connect to power supply;
    All AVCC pin, should connect to power supply;
    BSR pin ,should use 0.22uF boot capacitor to connect ROUT, or will cause OC fault.
    ROUT pin , use 0.22uF capacitor connect to BSR, no need other components.

    According to the datasheet, PVCCL and PVCCR are not shorted internally.
    Is it correct or not?

    In this case, what is the proper way as the processing method for the PVCCR and BSR?
    Is PVCCR able to be open or not?

    I need to check with designers based on your application case, . Why customer have this kind application case, it seems a little waste and also strange. Why they do not choose a mono device?
    Unfortunately the TPA3121EVM board can't support this evaluation, because the PVCCR and PVCCL are shorted together by PCB directly. This is an old device and the designers maybe not exists in TI ~~~. So I need ask our team's designer to try to find the design files and check the details, maybe need 1~2 weeks to check it. I will update the results to you once I get it.

    Thanks for your support. I am looking forward to receiving the answer.

    Anyway,
    their requirements is a mono device with 1W/8-ohm.
    The output configuration is a single end, not BTL.
    Vcc is as small as possible.

    And TPA3121 can drive a speaker by single-end.
    Is there other solution?

    Hi, Toshi-San
    There is no individual channel shutdown in TPA3121. Hence if right channel is not used, it is still needed as below:
    1. Connect PVCCRx to PVCCLx
    2. Connect BST cap from BSR to ROUT
    3. Connect AVCC pin19 and pin20
    4. RIN is okay to leave floating
