TAS6424 / How to recognize DSP output

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS6424

 Hi Team,

I received the following question from my customer

How does the TAS6424 recognize when the DSP outputs TDM ?
This is mentioned on the register map "0x03", should it set here?
Then, The ch1~4 on the block diagram is corresponded with Output1~4 of DSP, the ch1~4 on the block diagram is corresponded with Output5~8 of DSP when "LAST",

If there are any lack of information, please ask me.

Regards,

Kuramochi

  • Hi Kuramochi-san,

If the sampling frequency is 48 kHz, the TDM mode is automatically detected.  If the sampling frequency is other than 48 kHz, then the FS should be changed in register 0x03.  The default is use first 4 channels when TDM8 and 24/32 bit per slot.  If other than default, then register 0x03 is used to program. If you have problem, please let me know.

    Regards,

    Tuan
