audio amplifier IC for automotive applications

I will need more information for your request. 

1. What DC voltage will be applied to the device?
2. What is the load impedance?
3. How many channels do you need to drive?

Seems like the car battery voltage may change from 6-12 volts. So looking for an IC which can operate in this supply range.

I'm also evaluating toshiba's TB2938HQ IC but it seems that the THD Is above 10% at 16W of power (see below pic).  Does the above mentioned TI ICs offer better performance than Toshiba's?

For a tablet or mobile output, the TAS5414C-Q1 is your best device.  The input voltage is the voltage that is coming out of the audio jack on your mobile or tablet.

Yes, they should be available in India.

I checked the parametric section and it says the power is 25W (see attached screenshot) so Im a little confused.

In the datasheet you should see the specification at 24Vdc.

Thanks for the clarity. I'm gonna operate it at 23 Watts with <=1% THD.

Also I referred to the schematic diagram and it has 4 analog inputs. In my requirement i have only one source of input (i.e from TRSS jack of mobile phone). Should I connect the out of the jack directly to the 4 analog inputs via a potmeter for volume control as shown in the below fig

The data sheet shows 1nF capacitor in series with the speakers however the values aren't listed in the supporting components list (table 24). And in the schematic diagram below I see a 10nF (c13, c22) which isn't there in the application information.

Our designer say that we may have to use an external pre amplifier circuit to effectively use analog volume control. Since the IC has a built-in preamp can we avoid using external one?
