TPA3255EVM: DIFF to SE w/o jumpers?

Part Number: TPA3255EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA3255,

Regarding the jumpers used to convert from SE to DIFF, where can I get female counterparts to the three prong terminals for the jumpers?  I want to put the unit in a case, but I also want the ability to switch between DIFF and SE without accessing the jumpers.  I'd rather not solder to the jumper prongs.  If I can get  female counterparts, I can run leads to two position switches on the outside of the case.  Thanks, Neil

  • Hi Neil,

Thanks for using the TPA3255 in your project!

The "shunts" that are used to select the appropriate mode on the 3-pin headers can be found in the Bill of Materials (BOM) of the evaluation module (EVM).  You can find the BOM on the TPA3255EVM web page below under "Design Files" or alternatively at the end of the TPA3255EVM User's Guide.

  • Hi Brian,

Thanks for the prompt reply. My question was unclear. I don't need the shunts. What I need would be something not already part of the unit, I.e., not in the BOM. I'm hoping to find the female counterparts to the plastic pieces with the three metal prongs the shunts connect to. I would like to attach the female counterparts to the three prongs so that leads coming from the plastic female "plugs" can be attached to two position switches mounted to the case. That would allow the "shunting" from SE to DIFF to be accomplished without removing the unit from the case.

    Best,

    Neil
  • Hi Neil,

Okay, sorry, I misunderstood the question.  The female mating connector is 22-01-2035.

If for some reason you cannot find it online, search for the male connector on Molex and they will provide the female mating connector.

    Thanks,
    Brian

  • Thank you.  That is what I’m looking for.
