I installed AFE400EVM GUI, when I open the GUI the connection is established , but once a click on capture I get this error message : "reading stopped without returning the expected number of samples. Please check the device and the inputs"

i am using the firmware rev 1.3. , but still the same error is coming can you please help me with this ,why this error is still coming

if you can provide me with demo working of this board that will be helpful.

The GUI version which i am using is : AFE44x0SPO2EVM GUI v2.0 (Rev. D)

Hello Amy,

I tried installing the software from the link given by TI for firmware rev 1.3. but after installation same error is still coming ; as i am running the application AFE4400EVM GUI the firmware version showing is 1.2.
Can you please help me with this why this problem is still occurring and how it can be resolved.

Sudeep,

When you power up the board could you monitor the following and let us know what they are?

1. TX_CTRL_SUP
2. RX_DIG_SUP
3. LED_DRV_SUP
4. TX_REF
5. VCM
6. CLKOUT
7. BG

Hello Amy,

i tried monitoring the above pins;but i was getting waveforms for LED_DRV_SUP and CLKOUT ,there was no uniform waveform for the other pins can you please tell me what are the things which i have to keep in mind while i am monitoring or the details which you need.

For the supplies I'd like to know what the voltages you are reading. CLKOUT should be a frequency and I'd like to know what frequency you are seeing on that line.

Hello Amy,

I am trying to develop a GUI which will show the spo2 value using AFE4400 spo2 evm, i have written the codes for initial handshake but still i am getting problem's in reading the com port , i am not able to detect for problem it would be helpful if you suggest me something to rectify this .

Sudeep,

I see your initial problem was you were seeing this message "reading stopped without returning the expected number of samples. Please check the device and the inputs" using our GUI. Are you now using a custom GUI you created and are not able to see the device in the device manager?
