TMS320C25: TMS320C32, IBIS MODEL

Hi Experts,

While using the model. I realized the C_comp value in ibis model provided was 20pF. Which I think its too high.

When I checked datasheet I could find below details.

- Input Capacitance = 15pF

- Output Capacitance = 20pF

With a condition as "Assured by design but not tested"

It will be a great help. If anyone can tell me its typical values.

    I am not aware of a C25 IBIS model. I could not locate it in our repository.

    Typically the capacitance is verified when the device is released. This device was released more than 30 years ago.
    The values shown in the datasheet should be typical values and should align with the IBIS model. However, I do not know the source of the IBIS model.

    Another important point. This device has a Not Recommended for New Design (NRND) status. It is still available for production, but ability to support this device is extremely limited.

    Can you point to the source of the IBIS model you are referencing? Or post it here? use "insert code, Attach Files and more ..." Then use paper clip to attach.

    Thanks for the model.
    The datasheet shows 15pf for input and 15pf for output typical. I believe it would be reasonable to replace the C_COMP values to 15pf. This should be the typical value.

    The quality of this IBIS model is questionable due to its age. I do not know their rational for choosing 20pF over 15pF. It may have been for conservatism.
