AFE5809: SPI Transfer

Hello,

I am configuring ADC/VCA register. Do I have to transfer all values in single SPI transaction? Where, I keep SEN pin low? or Is it ok to transfer individual 24bits at a time? 

Digital demodulator block can be disabled from a 0x16 register. Is it ok to skip Digital Demod SPI?

    Hello, My intention is to run AFE cip without using GUI. Mostly I am using SCLK, SEN, SDATA on P14 for transfer. Do I have to GND other pins available on that jumper? 

    I have attached my logic analyzer to see SPI signal on P14 of AFE5809EVM.

    These are the waveform I am getting when I first start GUI. Can you please tell me what are the default values require? 

    I am trying to transfer 0x02, 0xE0 and 0x00 (Total 24 bit) all in in SPI transaction to generate RAMP pattern. But not getting any signal on LVDS lines.

    Hi Vatsal,

    Are you using the AFE5809 with a TSW1400EVM and attempting a capture using that? Are you able to capture the device's bit and frame clocks?
    What is your setup exactly?

    Hello Olu,

    I have one connector which I connected on LVDS line so from there I can see the LVDS differential pair output FCLK/DCLK etc, I can see changes in LVDS data if I made some change in GUI for AFE5809.

    But When I try to load data without GUI I am not able to see any output on LVDS lines. Except FCLK. I guess it is always running. I am getting 10MHz by default. 

    Can you please tell me what are the default settings I have to load in to AFE5809 chip ( Register Level) ? I have the list of register's from data sheet but not sure which I have to preload. As shown in my previous post these are the default configuration for GUI to AFE chip.

    Can anyone confirm that to use P14 for SPI transfer do I have to remove FB17?
