AFE4300: Redesign schematic for BCM mode only

Part Number: AFE4300

I tried to redraw the schematic of wheel to use only BCM. Am I right that I have to leave floating INPx, INMx, AUXx, Rg, RPx, RNx for measuring body composition only? And how can I replace jumpers? I mean what I have to use to measure the real signal, not simulated? I see that jumpers connected to GND are using to prevent noises when they are not used. For what I need VSENSEx, IOUTx, MMTx?

  • Hi Ivan,

For BCM measurement you need RPx, PNX signals as well. These are for calibration routines which helps to determine excitation current and channel offset.
In addition to RPx, RNx you need IOUTx and VSENSEx signals. IOUTx pins injects the current to the body, whereas VSENSEx measures the voltage developed across the body.
