using DRV595 as single-ended output

I am trying to use DRV595 to drive a TEC.

I have some questions:

1) For the I/P I am using single-ended connection & for the O/P can I use single-ended connection to drive a TEC by connecting one end of the TEC to OUTP and the other end to Gnd?

2) For single-ended O/P connection if I am using OUTP & BSP only, how does I terminate OUTN and BSN pin?

Hi, Peck,

In order to use the DRV595 in Single ended mode, you need to use a voltage divider to bias IN- to 3.0V, and apply the single-ended signal to IN+.The output of the DRV595 should be connected as in the first page of the datasheet, with both ends of the TEC connected to OUTP and OUTN.

For single-ended application, can we use both BD or 1SPW mode?

Hi, Peck,

Yes, as long as the TEC is correctly connected, the modulation used could be BD or 1SPW.
