DRV8305: The difference bwtween dead time and propagation delay ime

Part Number: DRV8305

Dear all,

Could you teach about definition of dead time and propagation delay time?

I can not understand the mean of these parameter at electrical characteristics, Figure 11 and Figure 13.

■At figure 11, Where is propagation delay time?

Does the propagation delay time include the dead time?

Or, is the propagation delay from the end of tDEAD_TIME to 50% rising of GHx Voltage?

■At Figure 13, Where is propagation delay time?

I thought that this tDead time is the propagation delay time because you define that tpd_Ir-O is Positive input rising to GHS_x rising at electrical characteristics.

In addition, from Figure 11, I can also think that tDead is counted from when both Gate turn off.

In conclusion, I am confused waht is propagation delay and what is dead time.

I would appreciate if you teach me the definition and how to think these.

Best regards,
