Hi.
Is there phase noise calculator for CDCM7005 include phase noise of reference input clock, VC(X)O and loop filter, I'd like to estimate phase noise before real target board test.

Hi Johnny,
thanks for your interest in our product. You can find a phase noise calculator for the CDC(M)7005 under the following link:
http://www.ti.com/tool/cdc-cdcm7005-calc
This tool allows you different actions. According to the PLL divider values, the Charge Pump current, the Loop Filter component values, the tool evaluate the PLL transfer function (closed and open loop) , the Loop Bandwidth and its corresponding Phase Margin. Additionally you can enter the Reference Phase Noise value and the tool calculates the predicted Output Phase Noise according to the PLL settings. The tool performs also a prediction of the rms output jitter generated in a user-defined integration bandwidth.
This provides you an estimation if the device is properly set in order to meet the system jitter requirements. If you need further support for a specific application, please let me know.
Best regards,
Leandro
