250 MHZ 1.2 V clock generator

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCM61001

Dear Experts,

May I know that how to generate 1 250 MHZ 1.2V clock?

  • You may consider CDCM61001, which can generate 250 MHz from 25 MHz crystal or external clock.  1.2 V single-ended output could be achieved using the 3.3 V LVCMOS output with external resistive attenuator circuit.  The device is pin configurable.

  • Hi, Alan,

Thanks. I will check the datasheet and see.

    Thanks

  • Hi Alan,

Could I use the LVPECL as the output driver. And terminate it using a 100 ohm resistor for CLKO and CLKOB. Then AC coupled to my chip (Common mode voltage equal s to 0.6 V)? If yes, since VOD have a 0.6 - 1.2 V differential swing, is it possible to let the swing equals to 1.2 V, thus the output could swing 0 - 1.2 V?

If not, based on your suggestion, will the attenuator  affect the performance?

    Thanks
