ADS131A04: About channel Data after CS pin is low

Guru 21045 points

Hi Team,

We would like to know the channel Data after CS pin is low.

We guess that after CS pin is low, Date is always Channel1 data (Case1).

(Then, we ignore "DRDY".)

Is my understanding correct?

  • Hide-san,

As you mentioned, Case 1 is correct. The /CS line will start the communication over from the beginning. The ADS131A04 is very specific about the communication and what is received in each frame and word.

I would note that even in Case 1, there would be a warning set because there was not enough SCLKs sent in the frame. This would show up with the F_FRAME flag in STAT_S (bit 0 in 05h).

By setting the bit in STAT_S, it also sets the F_SPI flag from the STAT_1 register (bit 5 in 02h).
