I am setting up a new TLV320AIC3254 EVM K demo board, and I am afraid I am pretty much stuck on getting connected in the first place. My PC device manager can only see an "Unknown Device" . The USB-MODEVM modem board lights D3, D4, D5 and D7, but not D8.
I am using Windows & Professional SP1 64 bit.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling in the device manager, allowing the PC to find driver and pointing it directly to my Texas Instruments folder (where I have the Audio Converter Firmware VO304B and TLVTLV320AIC3254EVM-K Control Software 1.2.1, as well as a "dfu_driver" folder and EEPROM Programmer I found somewhere on the forums).
I have tried removing the TLV320AIC3254 from the USB-MODEVM, and the MODEVM itself enumerates under Universal Serial Bus Controllers as "DFUUSB". In this case, D8 lights as well.
I have tried running the AIC3254 CS control software; it just says "EVM Disconnected".
Is there a separate set of drivers required for the TLV320AIC3254? I have been looking at the forums and there was a time when Windows 7 was not supported. Is that still the case?
I have downloaded slac563b, with USBfirmware_V0304_Portable tried to program the MODEVM with USB-AudioEVM0304_AnyRate.BIN. There was a little bit of byte counting, and I think it was successful, although it immediately gave me a bunch of re-connect errors.
Is that the correct firmware package? Am I supposed to put one of the .bin files on to make the TLV320AIC3254 work?
Does anyone have any advice or experience with this problem ?
Thank you in advance,
Ed
