PCM1802 - Center voltage

Hi all,

Would you mind if we ask PCM1802?

The datasheet shows Center voltage is 0.5 VCC.
Does it have some tolerancean?
Because, our customer claims that Center voltage is not 0.5 VCC certainly.

If you have some information, could you let know us?

Hi Hirotaka,

This is specified as a typical so there can be some variation, what is the customer measuring and what voltages is the part getting for analog and digital supplies?

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Our customer measured the vref using Multi-meter to just confirm the voltage.

<Voltage>
Analog and digital voltage are followings;
Vcc(Analog)=3.32V
Vdd(digital)=4.94V

Hi Hirotaka,

Vdd(digital) should be 3.3V and Vcc(Analog) should be 5V. If your stated voltages are true then Vref will be around 1.65 V. What voltage is the customer seeing at Vref?

And we appologize that our update information made you confuse.

<Each value of each Voltage>
1pin : 2.517V(open : 2.518V)
2pin : 2.519V(open : 2.521V)
3pin : 2.515V
4pin : 4.99V(Vcc)
14pin: 3.285V(Vdd)

Above condition, it seems on the software(using serial) that it have -3% offset.
We need your help.

Hi Hirotaka,

This looks to be within the data sheet specifications, the Vref specification is a typical value that can have some variance, and the gain error is typically +/-2 %FSR, but a max of +/-6%FSR.
