TLV3020ADC3101 EVM-K Change sampling rate

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320ADC3101

I want to change sampling rate on my TLV3020ADC3101 EVM-K on 8kHz. I've seen appropriate expression fS = (PLLCLK_IN × K × R) / (NADC × MADC × AOSR × P) in datasheet on TLV320ADC3101. But I don't now, wich MCLK is obtained from USB-MODEM to EVM.
Can anybody help me to solve this problem?

  • Hello, Ilya,

You would need to modify the clocks from the TAS1020b of the EVM. This device provides the WCLK, BCLK and MCLK to the ADC3101. So, you would need a particular procedure to modify them. Please take a look at the following wiki article. These steps are used to "revive" our EVMs and also to modify the clocks frequencies.

Once these clocks are modified, you should get a WCLK = 8KHz, BCLK = 512KHz and MCLK = 2.048MHz. With these clocks, there's no need to configure the PLL. So, you may configure NADC = 1, MADC = 2 and AOSR = 128.

Please let me know if you have additional questions or comments about this.

    Thank you.

    Best regards,
    Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
  • Thanks for your reply. I will take it into account in future.
I've found the MCLCK value(11.2896MHz) in ADC3101 Codec Control software and set new sampling freq by configuring NADC=11, MADC=4, AOSR=32, IADC=124
